[Grace] You want to get on in the world, you want to be a success, and you think that’s really important. But in the end, that’s not what’s most important. The important thing is to find yourself, to know yourself, and to be grateful for what you have. You tend to exclude the frivolous things when you come face-to-face with hard facts. Then you know what is important.
[Tony] Very often when we talk about discernment, we’re choosing between two options: this or that, A or B, B or A. I once heard a priest say that there is only one choice to make: do you want to go with God’s plan for you or not? Because if you decide to go with God’s plan for you, you’ll then ask yourself, What mission has he got for me? What is my call in life?
